Cordwood Tackroom

This 10’x14’ cordwood tackroom built east of Tucson features Douglas fir timber framing and mesquite and pine cordwood. Tierra Buena Home design and build project.

The rich texture of the tackroom mimics that of the surrounding Sonoran desert.
Wall made out of cordwood.

Douglas fir finished with a natural oil finish. Infill mortar is a mix of sand, clay, lime, cement, and sawdust with a surface-coat of clay slip.
