Management
Joe Silins, Owner/Operator
Joe grew up in Phoenix and moved to Tucson in 2000 to attend the University of Arizona. He graduated with degrees in Illustration and Urban Planning, and has immersed himself in construction and natural building since 2011. He got his start in construction as a laborer helping build custom homes from the ground up, and repairing homes throughout Pima County. As a project manager for a local nonprofit he designed and oversaw the installation of water harvesting systems by employees and community volunteers alike. After building his own strawbale casita, he started Tierra Buena Home and Garden, LLC in July 2016 to help others build their natural dream homes. In 2023 he began his role as a small-scale real estate developer after purchasing an investment property in central Tucson. Outside of work he enjoys dancing, telling stories, and spending time with friends and family.
